This is the time in our business careers where we need to re-invent ourselves, if you are not securing the contracts you once were, it is time to reinvent yourself, reach back into your old files and contact all your old colleagues, people you have worked on events with, taken out to lunch or coffee, brides you booked and those you did not, everyone needs to know where your business is now, and what is new about it or what drew them to you in the first place. If you ever purchased a home or a car, you may remember the real estate agency you worked with but do you remember the agent? or you may remember the dealership that sold you that fabulous car but what was the salesmans name? You do not want to be in the category of I had a great event vendor but I can't remember their name or the company name. MAKE CONTACT PEOPLE! Remind your past clients of who you are and what you do and what you are doing that is new! Tell them of the latest trends in your industry. You never know who is in need of a good referral.
