Royal Destination Weddings by 7x Weddings

A chance meeting in the laboratory brewed the chemistry between this dashing couple. A  perfect blend of personalities, beliefs and culture is what converted the instant reaction into a lifelong joining of souls. Team 7X Weddings was entrusted with the task of curating tailor made events to reflect the couple’s chosen theme in every aspect : A Global Outlook with Desi Roots.

Manglik Prasang

The first of the events was the auspicious puja to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Traditionally it was always carried out in the central courtyard of village homes and that is what we set as our theme to spruce up the venue. An installation of a tall tree laden with lemons and terracotta birds beautifully created by Aroosi Events, was the pivotal fixture surrounded by wooden armchairs and charpais to mimic the settings of a village panchayat. Yellow filigree partitions in wood, housing cane chairs and jute lamps created the perfect lounge areas, while bright shades of teal blue overhead made the botanical prints on the table cloth, sofas and cushions pop. The guests were welcomed with a pathway full of lush green foliage, and once inside the delicate fragrance of flowers and lime filled their hearts with joy. This indeed marked a gorgeous start to the festivities.

Glittering Welcome Dinner

For this event we wanted to showcase the couple's faith in the “interconnection of opposing forces”, and no theme suits this better than Yin and Yang. Borrowing from this philosophy we chose black and white to depict how contrasting qualities can complement each other. On arriving the guests were instantly enthralled by the circular stage, fashioned out of beams of light and draped in delicate white blossoms. The dinner area was brought alive with strings of fairy lights providing cover for tables clothed in black and white geometric fabric and laden with vases brimming with white florals. The clearly  marked “Bride” and “Groom” chairs were an eye turner while personalised menus depicting the yin yang sign guided the guest towards their designated seats. The warmth of the snowy candles and the radiance of the lights were only overshadowed by the glowing faces of the family and guests, marking the making of another unforgettable event orchestrated by our team.

Derby Brunch

Moving deeper into the global aspect of their celebrations the couple wanted to bring the “Derby Club” into their brunch. To add a personal touch to this theme, sombre shades of whites and greys were replaced by hues of lavender and peach which lent an air of an informal summer gala to the event. Stunning life size horses fashioned out of flowers was the showstopper, while motifs of ponies, helmets, and horseshoe on cushions, backdrops and tables further enhanced the look.  Old saddles and polo mallets on the wall made for the perfect photo props. The various party areas were labelled in derby appropriate titles, which combined with pastel fabrics and flowers gave a quintessential British feel to the  venue.  

Effervescent Sangeet

The couple gave us free reign to depict the story of their courtship during this event. Team 7X Weddings took to the drawing boards to brainstormed for ideas and design the perfect installations and masterpieces for this grand function. We went all out to make this event larger than life and more spectacular than anyone could envisage. The magnus opus was an overhead structure fashioned out of flexible metallic fabric to form undulating concentric circles to mimic the ripples created by chemical reactions. The stage fashioned out of multitude of white shell like layers could be mistaken for a cloud of fumes emitting from a mixture of chemicals. The smoke emitting from the bar , chandeliers made out of test tubes, centrepieces fashioned out of bubble filled phials and carpets scrawling with equations added to the authenticity of the theme. Acrylic boxes filled with laboratory equipment and a screen showing various important dates for the couple along with equations of some of their experiments provided the perfect backdrop for the expert photography of Illesh Shah. The entire team of 7X Weddings would like to applaud the combined skills of artisans and  the dedicated work force provided by our partner vendor who gave shape to our vision. 

The Verdant Ganesh Puja

The D-Day started with the auspicious ganesh puja dedicated to the bride’s aunt. 31 pundits harmoniously performed the ritual to seek the blessing of the departed souls. They chanted the mantras in perfect sync filling the air with a pious and serene bliss. To maintain the sanctity of the function we kept the decor minimalistic. Strings of delicate jasmine formed the archway while the path was lined with lush green stems and banana leaves. A sea of mellow green could be seen overhead as the rich woven fabric blew in the wind. Copper utensils filled with flowers and foliage lined the tables and continued the flow of simple decoration steeped in tradition.

The Aureate Wedding

Drawing inspiration from Southern India, the couple wanted to replicate the intricate carvings and grandeur of temple architecture for their mandap. The sprawling gardens of the Rambagh Palace once again offered us enough space and natural beauty to bring alive the designs drawn out by Aroosi Events. The temple pagoda was fashioned out of golden woodwork, bedaubed with fragrant string of rajnigandha while thick hangings of champa marked the sacred spot where the couple tied the knot. The guests were welcomed with the glow of thousands of diyas, while a fountain surrounded by ornate metal candle stands was the perfect place for them to mingle. The team ensured to capture the glowing faces of all present. The guests enjoyed the scrumptious spread in the opulent comfort of regally carved cushioned chairs cosily tucked under scallops of rajnigandha and jasmine. The entire air was fragrant with the smell of blossoms while the glow from the diya spread a golden hue. Everything amalgamated beautifully to create magic and the 7X Weddings once again earned laurels for crafting the perfect dream wedding.
