Dress fittings, caterers, music, flowers... and your regular life to run all that the same time. You want everything on your wedding day to be perfect, especially how you look. After the flowers fade and the food is gone, how you and your sweetheart look in the photos will last forever. As a photographer, here are simple tips to keep in mind for making sure you are picture perfect:

• Make sure your dress fits comfortably. This may seem obvious, but that beading under your arms won't start to hurt in the few minutes you spent in the dress trying it on like it will after you've been wearing it for 5 hours. Move around in your dress, swing your arms, dance. See if the straps fall off your shoulders, or the neckline sags when you bend over to hug a child. The last thing you want to be doing all day is adjusting your dress every time you move.

• The same goes for shoes. I'm 4' 11" so I know how tempting it is to wear tall heels. However, most wedding dresses go to the floor, so no one will notice if you're wearing stilettos or flip-flops. And with a dress so long,
not stepping on the hem is enough to worry about without teetering on high heels.

• Keep your make up light and waterproof. You'll be nervous and likely sweating a little. You may even cry some. Thick foundations on your face may start to melt and shine while covering up your happy glow. You're better off
with as little overall coverage as possible, so you look natural and truly radiant.

• However you do your hair, keep it out of your face. I sound like Mom on this one, but those "sexy tendrils" and heavy bangs will hide your face and expressions. Not to mention that you'll spend a lot of time pushing that hair out of your eyes and trying to keep it from getting stuck on your glossy lips.

• Schedule plenty of time between the ceremony and the reception for pictures. After going through all the family portraits, it's a shame to rush the time for the two of you together. This will be the first chance you get
to spend together as husband and wife, and those moments are truly beautiful. Those are the moments your heart will want to hang onto, and it's easier to enjoy them when you don't have to keep looking at the clock. If
the ceremony, pictures and reception are in one location, then give yourselves at least an hour. If they're at different places, allot that hour plus travel time.

• Have a blast at your reception. Another one that sounds obvious, but let someone else worry about the cake and the music. Dance, laugh and smooch each other with reckless abandon. It's a party, and the more fun you have,
the more memorable the photos will be.
