So Who Is This Custom Songwriter Chick Anyway? :)

There was always music in my house growing up.

My parents are both musicians & my mother is a singer/songwriter. Becoming a singer/songwriter, too, was as natural as breathing for me.

When I finally let go of my Corporate America job-with-benefits in January 2010, I had one solid mission. To be a songwriter for a living in lots of exciting ways. Recording my own albums, writing songs for other artists & businesses, placing songs in TV, films & commercials....and writing Custom Songs for Special Occasions. I still have to pinch myself sometimes that I am finally living this dream and had the courage it took to make this incredibly frightening and life-affirming leap of faith.

My 2nd independent folk-pop album called "No More Invitations" is almost completed and features special guest appearances from Stephen Kellogg (www.stephenkellogg.com) and Grammy award winner Rosanne Cash (www.rosannecash.com), as well as incredible NYC musicians. The Custom Songs provide me with bonding experiences with my song clients that are so moving and sentimental. As a songwriter, I get to curl inside these loving song stories as I piece them together with melody to create a gift that families and friends will enjoy and appreciate for lifetimes. Who wouldn't love and be proud of that??

As a Custom Songwriter, I'm finally doing something that makes a deeply soulful impact in events, experiences and memories of those who work with me. If you think it's a wonderful blessing to have a special song written for you, know that it's an amazing blessing to be the person who provides it, too.
