such a Cool and Exciting shoot!!! and NONE of it is Photoshopped!!

I was contact by a friend of a friend to see if I would be interested in shooting 2 of her other friends! LOL!!! so Megan
Facebooked me saying how much she Loves all my pictures and that her
friends Marybeth and Nadir were looking for some cool shots. Marybeth
is this kick-ass Sax player for Cirque Dream Illumination and Nadir is
an acrobat for the company (who is actually from Uzbekistan). I told
her that i don’t really do head shots and she said not to worry- they
were looking for something edgy and different. I immediately thought of
this cool and hidden space in Philly where i am actually doing a Mess
the Dress Session in Oct. I described it and she thought it sounded
perfect.

Al and I went to Atlantic City last week to meet with Marybeth and watch Nadir in the Jungle Dreams show. We wanted to get a feel for
their personalities and see what kinds of things Nadir does. Well, let
em tell you- we LOVED both of them. I took just some sample pics of MB
and she is so great to photograph- and then we saw the show. Impressed
is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! we were in awe!!! we definitely knew what we
wanted to do.

So yesterday we finally got to put it all together. I just don’t think we could have gotten anything better!!! While it was hard to
capture Nadir in the air (i’m not used to shooting someone moving soooo
FAST!!!) i think I was able to really showcase him. I had free reign to
be as artistic as i wanted (something we don’t really get with
weddings) so i really went for it. and so did they!! As you can tell
Nadir is death-defying- i was so nervous with him hanging on that edge
over the water- Marybeth couldn’t even look! But he just said with a
huge smile on his face and his accent- I can do this! We would see a
little grin and know he had some other new and crazy idea- All we had
to do was have the camera ready.

I am so thankful to Al who was such a big help. He controlled the lighting (we wanted it to be as natural as possible so we just used an
on-camera flash and a remote flash hand held by Al where we wanted the
light to go) and he took some shots too!!
