It is our opinion that when it comes to your big day, no idea is TOO BIG. If you want funny hats for each guest, oh, there should be funny hats. Kabuki dancers? Done! Seven-piece Bluegrass band? Yeehaw! Tequila tasting station? Ole!

Sometimes brides- and grooms-to-be will feel sheepish or even apologetic about suggesting themes outside the norm of white lace and roses. Our goal is always to engineer celebrations that feel very special and personalized for our clients.

That being said, for a tablescape design contest earlier this year, we were inspired by one of our blushing brides who had described her dream wedding as a “non-wedding wedding.” She wanted her big day to feel like a cool New York City loft party or a rooftop dinner party with a view of the city. So we envisioned for her a chic sushi dinner party with low tables accented by clean lines, geometric shapes, and bold pops of color.

For the contest, we submitted our spin on a Bride and Groom’s Sweetheart Table. The hydrangeas and hypercium berries add a sense of romance without overwhelming the table and are balanced by wedding ring icons that denote Bride and Groom.
