Tips To Help Get Your Smile Wedding Ready!

If you’ve always made a few changes and you’re finally committing with your big day coming up, you’re in the right place. We’re here to introduce a few tips to help you get your smile wedding ready, with options no matter how long you have until the big day. You want to look back on your photos with nothing but happiness and pride, so if you currently don’t feel like that, we’re here to help make it happen.

Starting The Process 1 Year Before

The best thing to do if you have time is to start the process of your new smile a year before your big day. Book in for a consultation a year before and this will give you access to the majority of treatment options before your big day, to help find the right choice for you. It can also help you to spread the cost out over a longer period if that’s what you’re looking for.

With a year to go, there is plenty of time for teeth straightening treatments specifically, which are very popular prior to weddings, and the results also last much longer than some other cosmetic treatments which is a benefit, as it’s a permanent positive change to your teeth.

No matter what treatment is chosen between you and your dentist, they can put together a treatment plan so your smile looks perfect ready for the big day.

Starting The Process 3 Months Before

If you have slightly less time before your big day, around the 3 month mark, then you may have slightly less options, however you can still get a smile you’ve always dreamed of. Porcelain veneers are usually an option with a 3 month timeline, which provides a complete smile transformation, however it’s one of the more expensive options. Another option with plenty of time to fit it in is composite bonding, which also provides a great transformation and results lasting up to 7 years.

With a few months to go, we’d also recommend getting an appointment booked in for around a month before, to check over your smile, make sure everything looks healthy and to ensure that there aren’t likely to be any issues that arise before the big day that could have been avoided.

Starting The Process 1 Month Before

If you’ve left things quite last minute, don’t worry, there are still options. Some dentists may be able to get you in for composite bonding still with a month to go depending on available appointments, as often it can be done in just one session. Aside from this, your options are mainly teeth whitening treatments and teeth cleaning treatments, like your clean and polish or teeth stain removal.

We’d also avoid things like tea and coffee, red wine and dark coloured foods wherever possible, to prevent staining in the build up to your big day! Leaving things late when it comes to your smile for the wedding doesn’t mean you have no options, so speak to your cosmetic dentist Sheffield based and see what they can do.
