Wedding Inspiration: Day & Night Nordic Charm

This weeks inspiration was influenced by the pale, light and airy scandinavian decor style I have been coveting recently for my own home, which can be quite dark at times. I dream of floods of light filling the place but instead it’s more dark and dreary so I have to cheat. By cheating I mean having pale walls and floors, and a lot of reflective surfaces to bring some of that cheery light into my home.

Whilst I sat fantasising about my Nordic style home last week, this inspiration board began to formulate and I thought what a fabulous style it would be for a wedding too. As we are moving away from summer(boo….hiss!) thoughts are turning to the looooong winter ahead. I actually love winter, almost as much as I love summer. Only for the soft fairtytale-ness of the snow though, the rest of Winter can, quite frankly, jog on.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, I’ve taken the light bright whites and mixed them up with dramatic, black structural pieces to create a Day & Night ~ Nordic Charm inspiration board for you….

This one has got me very excited, it’s so dramatic yet calming, soft yet bold, I do love a contradiction.  What I would also LOVE is to be able to take this inspiration board right through to reality and show how the concept could be styled up.
