More great tid-bits of advice from the wonderful Sacramento Wedding Photographer, Jen Stewart about where you will be getting ready for your wedding and how that will impact your getting ready photos:

*What kind of lighting does the room have? Lots of natural light is best.

*Make sure the room is not too cluttered.

* If possible, have one room to get ready in and one room to keep all your belongings. This will cut down visual clutter in your pictures.

* Make sure the room is comfortably large enough for several nervous people getting ready all at once and a couple of photographers. Especially consider the temperature control of the room.

* To make the process easy, the area should have plenty of mirrors, sinks, electrical outlets and easy access to the restroom.

So true about the lights! I know many a photographer that will stealthily turn up the lights before the cake cutting and first dance.
