Well, I haven't posted in quite awhile.  My weight went up to 133 lbs & I was so discouraged with everything I just couldn't write.  A week ago I was grocery shopping and saw alli, the only weight loss supplement that is approved by the FDA.  I broke down and bought it, it was very expensive.  I needed something real fast or my 13 lb weight gain was going higher.  I know this because it has happened to me over and over again.  I started alli on Monday night.  I had some pains from gas I think but I've had them before so I didn’t know if it was pill related or not.  I've been taking two a day with meals that contain fat and have lost 5 lbs and I feel really good.  They mentioned in the booklet that came with it that the Prtitkin Diet in the best diet to be on with the pills because it is a low fat diet with whole foods.  The Adkins is really bad because of the high fat content. I've been on the Adkins diet and felt awful with all kinds of side effects of cramping.  I'm also smart enough to know that the Atkins is not a good food plan at all.  TOO MUCH FAT!  So I bought the Pritikin Diet book from Amazon & had read a little and it seems the most level headed and smart way of eating from all the diet books that I have read.  Whole foods, whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean protein and well you get the picture.  They say eat potatoes and rice which I never do because of the high carbohydrate levels but that is where this diet goes.  I have more energy and feel so much better.  My daily meals are - Breakfast, oatmeal with cinnamon, banana and milk (supplement), Lunch, yogurt, fruit and Fiber One cereal, I don't take a supplement cuz the fat grams are so low, Dinner, lean protein, rice or potatoes with lots of veggies cut up in them (supplement).  I have fruit, yogurt or veggies for snacks.  Even though nuts are good for you I stay away cuz of the fat.  I have not had any side effects from the pills.  A lot of people have runny bowl problems.  This pill attached to the fat in your system and doesn't allow your body to store it.  If you have more fat than what is recommended that's when you have the bowl problems.  I'm following th eplan exactly.  There is a lot of talk online about the bathroom problems so I was afraid to try it.  My friend is a pharmacist and he gets calls all the time about this OTC pill and they aren't following the plan.  There was a prescription version of this pill and it was known as a miracle weight drug by doctors, pharmacists and medical people in the weight loss industry.  But you have to follow the plan.  The plan calls for no more that 30% of your meals should be fat content.  Hopefully this is what I need to kick start me and maybe the brides and grooms who need a boost like me can benefit from this.  But read the booklet that comes with it and the Pritikin Diet book.  Good luck everyone.
