It is one thing to have a "wedding", that is the easy part. Now having a "Marriage" is where we find out what you are made of. Now days anyone can get "Married" but less that 50% of those who get "Married" seem to be capable of having a "Marriage" So what makes the difference for those of us who manage to make a "Marriage"? My wife and I will celebrate 43 years in July. Some people look at us and think we are the ideal couple, for whom everything just fell into place right and so we have had the perfect "Marriage"... WRONG! ... First we planned for a long and lasting marriage, by vowing to each other that we would never consider divorce.

We also vowed to each other that we would remain faithful, and would treat each other with love and respect... The formula for a perfect marriage? Far from it, we have had to work hard at it over the years, we have had our ups and downs and spats like any other couple, but we have always looked back on those vows we made to each other so long ago to be the glue that would hold us together. Don't get me wrong, it is not just a relationship of toleration, we are still genuinely in love and are each other's best friend. We are more than glad we made it through the ups and downs of life together and have come out stronger for it. We are two very strong willed people, and if we can do it, anyone can. I love my wife more than life! and our relationship with Christ has made the tripod of our life complete.
