Trends in Wedding Invitations Design 2010/2011

Hi Everyone,

I'm creating a trend forecast for 2010/2011 in wedding invitations that will be releasing this Friday, but would love to hear your thoughts too! I'd love to site some comments and credit you in my personal blog.

Noticed any themes that your brides are asking for now, for their weddings next year?
(Anything ridiculously hard to find?)

Slate gray is the top neutral for 2010--Do you notice any other non-traditional neutrals?

Budgets! Budgets! Budgets! How is the budget conscious bride working it without blowing her budget? Creative ideas--brainstorming--throw-it out there, we can all gain inspiration!

In my business, www.InvitationsByChrissy.com, I have noticed a big increase in the demand for pocket style invitations and the color blue, whether it's navy, royal or tiffany blue, is very popular especially paired with brown.

I've seen a big turn to the purple and gray color combination. I think you're right--gray is going to be the "new black" in 2010. I did a post about it today on my blog with an inspiration board. Check it out! www.PlatinumTiara.blogspot.com

Thanks, the trend directions article will release to Percy Sales blog tomorrow, but my color forecast will release in 2 weeks...gotta give myself a deadline now :) I will definitely add both of your names to my color forecast release and personal blog and give you the link...all my BridalTweet "friends" get a sneak peak before I post it to Facebook and announce it on Twitter.

Hi Megan - a few comments from my experience. We have come some far from the traditional invite (black type on cream stock) that it's amazing! We are seeing ALOT of gray with citrus accents ( lemon, lime and orange) and metallics paired with pink and purple which has a very "royal" tone. We are always looking for brides who want to "go crazy" and really feel that any combination is possible through stock, inks and embellishments. My personal favorite combo is teal, orange and a touch of silver-gold. Fun yet elegant. The sky's the limit!!

We just had a recent blog post about the Pantone Spring 2010 Color Trends. Although for winter we have seen a lot of slate gray and aubergine, Tiffany blue and also citrus have been popular.
