Wish Upon a Wedding would like to thank those who dedicate their lives to making the world a better place. We will be honoring eleven of the nation's most caring and inspirational wedding and hospitality professionals, by presenting them with the Shining Star Award.

Local chapters are currently selecting potential candidates, all of whom will be notified by October 5th. Everyone who is nominated will be recognized for their commitment to community service during our upcoming Galas. Contact your local chapter president for information.

The Blissful Wishes Ball~
Dinner & Dancing for a Worthwhile Cause!
Join us for a fun and sophisticated evening that you do not want to miss. The Blissful Wishes Ball will benefit Wish Upon a Wedding, the new nonprofit organization that has touched hearts and changed lives across the nation, by providing weddings & vow renewals for couples facing terminal illness or other serious life-altering circumstances.

Our foundation was created to celebrate the courage, determination and spirit of these couples by granting their dream wedding wishes. Our hope is that chosen recipients can inspire other couples facing similar situations to find hope and strength and to not put their wedding dreams on hold.

I am looking for transportation, DJ, musician and attire vendors in the DC area who might be interested in becoming "wish granters" for Wish Upon a Wedding. Wish Upon a Wedding is a non-profit that grants free weddings to the terminally ill. Our DC chapter has a wedding coming up next month for a wonderful couple that will break your heart. Unfortunately, it is common for us to get an enormous number of event planners and photographer wish granters and none for the above services which we need.

If you are interested in becoming a wish granter you can fill out the application here http://wishuponawedding.org/chapter-locations/d-c-west-va-va-d-c/wi.... If you have any questions about the organization please feel free to let me know, I'm happy to discuss it with you. Thanks so much in advance!

Folks, I am on the board of this wonderful organization in the DC area and encourage any participation that can be offered. Thank you!

Wish Upon a Wedding is currently seeking donated products or services in 46 cities, ranging from wedding gowns to tuxedos, invitations to cakes, and limousine services to honeymoons. It only takes a moment to register and make a difference in someone's life at https://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/AuctionHome.action?auctionId... ! Be sure to add your item to the correct category (city), and don’t forget to include your company logo and URL. What a great advertising opportunity~ and you'll be making a positive difference in someone's life who truly deserves it!

Couples planning to be married can bid for wedding-related auction items online starting in October or at a Blissful Wishes Balls Nationwide in November, with all proceeds benefiting Wish Upon a Wedding . This new organization is the world's first nonprofit that provides weddings for individuals facing life-threatening illness.

Hello BridalTweet Virginia Community! I'm so excited to be a part of the group.

A question frequently asked by brides is: “I’m on a budget and just can’t afford the extra expense of a wedding planner or bridal consultant. Isn’t that an unnecessary additional expense?”

A good wedding planner or bridal consultant is not an additional cost to your overall budget. She can secure and negotiate vendor discounts that aren’t available to you, saving you money in multiple areas. A wedding planner or bridal consultant takes the stress out of the negotiation process, helps you stay on budget, plus saves you money in valuable time saved researching every little detail.
