Hi everyone! I'm thinking of organizing a small wedding show. There's a restaurant near us that has a large space upstairs that used to be a club. He wants to promote it for weddings and rehearsal dinners, etc. I was thinking of contacting him to see if I could host a show there. I would be select in the vendors I choose...thinking 1-2 from each type of vendor (photographer, cake, caterer, DJ, etc.). Then I would advertise it in papers, etc. I was thinking of possibly just splitting the advertising fee with all of the vendors involved rather than charging them a high fee. And then maybe a small fee to the brides/grooms that attend and possibly giving that to a charity. Not sure. I would reallly not get "paid" anything for this but instead I would have my name on all advertising as the organizer plus it would get my name out to all the vendors, etc. Does anyone have any advice on something like this? I've never done anything like this! And since it's not a huge space I would need to limit the # of attendees. Any advice on doing that? Thanks!

Sounds good and did something similar in the SF Bay Area. Are you located near here?
I'm in PA! Was your show a success? Any advice?
Where are you located in PA? I am very interested in doing the same thing in my area and any advice would be great as well.
Hi Melissa! I would be interested in helping with your event or being one of your vendors. Please keep me posted!
I am a wedding planner. I'd like to be a part of your show. Are you in the Phila/South Jersey Area? Let me know!

Thanks everyone! I'm just in the beginning phases of "thinking" about this. As it comes to fruition I'll keep you updated!
Hello Melissa,
I have chaired an event professionals bridal show. I would love to help if I can. Advertising can be expensive and a bit tricky. For your first show, getting your name out there is most important. Timing of the show is everything.
