Hi everyone!  Hope you're having a great weekend!  I have a couple getting married in April and the bride's father is in a wheelchair.  I'm trying to come up with ideas for the father/daughter dance.  He has muscular dystrophy and can't really move his arms either.  They don't really want to have the bride stand and hold his hands while swaying/dancing.  I had some other thoughts: she could pull a chair up to the dance floor on the edge of it and sit with her dad while the mother/son dance is going on.  Or she could sing a song to her dad.  Does anyone have other ideas?  We just want a way to honor him since he can't dance.

Thanks!

HI Melissa, how about a little slideshow with the bride and dad of her growing up, and focus on the two of them and play a nice daddy/daughter song in the background. I'm sure she has lots of pics that can be used! Good luck.

Wonderful idea Julie. How about having him in place and she takes a little pirouette toward him in his chair, curtsies to him and sits on his lap. Then the slideshow could begin. She could then spend the duration of the slideshow speaking with him, sharing her feelings with him and his with her. This creates a personal and intimate moment for them to bond, share and say farewell before she and her groom depart for the honeymoon.
