Oh sure, what a breeze! I figured that people had seen enough "color inspiration boards." Why not create something different and fun! Alert the senses right!? Trends in Color Forecast 2010/2011 was born.

Phew! What a project...such a learning process. But that's ultimately what it turned out to be: a wonderful learning process. And I had to remind myself that a good part of the reason why I loved working for myself was for the expanse of… Continue

Thinking Budget

A wedding is a major financial strain and to avoid problems it is wise to develop a budget. The buget is based on what the couple and other contributors can afford. Being practical and realistic will avoid the problem and embarassment of changing plans to cope with a shortage of funds-or going into debt to finance the affair. Also this reason alone provides the solution of having a wedding planner to micro-manage your pennies so that you don't have to be stressed on whats supposed to be one of… Continue

1st Bridal Tweet MeetUP Rocks!

Glancing over the lush green field to see the sunset was amazingly beautiful. That was my very first impression of Gore Place, an ornate Federalist style mansion plunked down on 4o rolling acres. Really. I was stunned that such a fantasy wedding site was literally right off Route 20 in Waltham. I knew the first Bridal Tweet Meet up was off to a roaring good start!

You probably guessed that I'm the curious type. My favorite thing is to meet someone new and learn about them. I've… Continue

How to choose a wedding Photographer

Since choosing a photographer is not an everyday event (nor is your wedding) i will try to answer the most frequently asked questions about wedding photography.

1. Why should I hire a professional Wedding photographer?

A professional will be timely - arriving at your wedding promptly, and get you the results you need on time. A professional has just the right equipment, its easy to buy a truck full of equipment but without the craftsmanship it will stay just… Continue

The Wedding Kiss

The other day, I was talking with a photographer that I work with on occasion, and he asked me what I thought about offering advice to the bride and groom on kissing once given permission by the officiant during the ceremony. I thought it was strange at first but the more I think about it, it makes since. Sometimes, brides and grooms will go into the ceremony with no idea about how they are going to kiss or be kissed. This photographer said that he wanted our bride and groom to kiss in a… Continue

Mandalay Bay's Minus5 Ice Lounge

Minus5 Ice Lounge an all-ice indoor bar and lounge. Nearly everything in this 2000 square foot space is made of ice, from the walls, tables and hand sculpted figures to the benches and glasses. Nightclubs periodically redecorate to keep decor fresh, the lounge plans to update its look frequently. Every six months, the… Continue

In thethick of it!

We are working on four weddings this week. The phone rings for one bride while the other is on hold, another's linens arrive and the color is all wrong and we are two days late waiting for a shipment of vases. You have to love this business! Having an amazing team to help keep my sanity is key in this operation. Bless their hearts that they love what they do almost as much as I do - You would have to to iron 56 tablecloths!!

We are going on site today to surround a large old tree in… Continue
