5 Steps to the Perfect Indoor Autumn Wedding

Autumn is such a romantic season with its changing colors and mild chill that makes you want to cozy up to someone. And because of this, many brides dream of tying the knot amidst the falling leaves and under the glow of the magnificent autumn sunset. However, let’s face it: not everyone can have an outdoor wedding. It could be that you live some place where the season isn't so lovely or is simply non-existent. Or maybe you couldn’t find a venue accessible to all your guests. Or it could be that you don’t have the time to manage all the planning and logistics involved in holding a wedding outdoors. But even with all that said, it doesn’t mean you can’t have the romantic autumn wedding you dream of… indoors. Here are 5 details you should not miss for the perfect indoor autumn wedding:

The Colors of Fall

Indoors or outdoors, the color palette you choose for your wedding must tie up with the season’s colors. Shades of rust and cinnamon quickly come to mind for autumn weddings, but there’s so much more to this season than orange and brown! Look at these weddings for instance:

Lavender is not just for the summer if you stick to deeper hues. We love how these gowns look so sophisticated!

We bet you didn’t think of carnation pink and Tiffany blue coming. Nobody said you can’t use light colors for an autumn wedding; the key to making them work is to make sure you have dark complementary colors as your base.

Berry tones make up for a real blushing entourage!

Combining different shades of green will give your wedding a lush and lively feel. Pair it with gold and you’ve got a winner.

The Bouquet

Season-themed weddings are all about being one with nature so your bouquet should more or less represent the local blooms (or at the very least, the colors) of the season.

You can go a little wild with berries.

Most autumn bouquets have that “gathered” look which means they’re not too structured and have a cascading effect.

And don’t be afraid to go bright if it goes well with the rest of your palette.

The Cake

Choose a cake that would go well with the rest of your decorations. It would be a good idea to look at your bouquet for inspiration; you can have the florals on your cake be the same color as the flowers in your bouquet.

Naked cakes are great for autumn weddings because they have that rustic look that you want to go for.

If you fancy yourself a minimalist, you can opt for a white cake decorated with autumn flowers.

Wood accents are also big on autumn weddings so you might want to consider it on your cake.

The Table Centerpieces

Don’t neglect the table centerpieces at your reception; your guests will be spending a lot of time at those tables before they start dancing the night away. Remind them of (the beauty of) the outdoors with woody accents, berries, and wildflowers.

Just how easy to make are these?

Seasonal flavored coffee are perfect for the season too. Make sure to repackage them in burlap bags for a rustic look.
