The brewhouse is a century old, founded in 1888 by German-born immigrant, Francis Xavier Matt, and owned currently by third and fourth generation of Matt family members. The seven-story brewhouse produces timeless class, Utica Club, a premium pilsner-lager, as well as ther every popular Saranac Family of Beers and soft drinks.

Hosting your bachelorette party at the Matt FX Brewing Company allows you a unique twist from the same-old "party and games" style of bridal parties. Starting with a tour of the plant, where the aromatic malts draw you into a glimpse of the history of the brewhouse and the family; then you are given a trolley ride through historic Court and Varick Streets to the century old Saranac Tavern where you can sample some of the great family of beers and soft drinks.

From the Saranac 12 Beers of Winter, Irish Red Ale, Saranac Black & Tan, Pale Ale, favorite Root Beer or Orange Cream, Pomegranate Wheat, and many other popular favorites! The tavern is very intimate with tables constructed like large wooden spools placed around the room. The atmosphere of the room just exudes with fun!
