How Can You Include Your Pets in Your Wedding

Awesome Ways To Include Your Furry Best Friend In Your Wedding

The popularity of our beloved pets in today's society, especially over the last few decades, has included them in many aspects of our daily lives.  As a precious part of our family, our four-legged friends are already included our vacations, road trips, family get-togethers and parties, so why shouldn’t they be involved in our wedding plans?

During this special life-changing event, you and your partner can always “paws” to reflect on how your friends, family and guests can all be a part of your new adventure together along with your adorable animal. Perhaps a sharable, online picture of you and your-soon-to-be spouse, together with your favorite furry little friend, will highlight your pet-friendly announcements. After all, most people who love animals are already friends with those that also share this loving trait.

While our four-legged best friends may appear as nothing more than a possible wedding photo-opp in this kind of scenario, they can still play an important role when it comes to sharing and starting our new lives together. Let’s start at the beginning of the process and check out some other ways our pets can be a fabulous part of our wedding ensemble:

Pet-Friendly Invitations

Weddings always have some kind of a theme, sometimes going from mild to wild, and considering some of today’s newest trends, they’re drifting towards more non-traditional venues. Whether you’re sending out “save-the-day” announcements or the invitations themselves, your perky and precious pet can be a part of this adventure.

During the planning stages, you’ll likely be considering food preferences, vegan or otherwise when it come to your guests, but make sure your attendees don’t have problems with pets when it comes to allergies or other problems when mingling with your four-legged best friend. Some animals may have behavioral issues that might not be conducive to this type of an environment. The noise, crowds and confusion could be problematic, so consider this in your important decision to include them in your special day.

Canine and Kitty Concerns

Before you consider having your pets part as a part of this magical process, be sure they’re welcome to attend your particular venue. Whether it’s a being held in a church, chapel or other location, animals may not be welcome there. But they may be more than accepted at a later location, perhaps a reception hall or backyard. You'll want to ensure that it’s a pet-friendly environment before you plan the entire process and include them in this important event.

Training and Part of the Process

If you’re unsure that your best-friend will be comfortable with crowds and ceremonies, if it’s important that they’re part of this process, you can help prepare them for the event. Start off with some backyard barbeques, parties and other crowded situations and see how they react. Practice how you may have your pet participate in this type of venue before you decide to include them in the entire process.

Watching a dog walk down the aisle while wearing a mini-tuxedo and carrying a ring on his collar or seeing a fancy feline waiting in the wings on a fluffy pillow near the altar is an unforgettable experience. A canine companion or furry feline being a part of your wonderful ceremony is not only unique, but it’s also something to be cherished along with the unforgettable memories you’ll make as you start your lives together.

Along with all the planning and preparation, whether you’re doing pomp and circumstance, simplistic elegance or a backyard barbeque, if you’re going to include your furry, little side-kick, make sure it’s something everyone, including your four-legged best friend will find enjoyable, not to mention memorable. And … CONGRATULATIONS!
