But enough about the voices in my head..ahem... let's move on to brighter and far prettier things, todays post is all about rings! specifically your Engagement and Wedding Rings! Of all the pieces of jewellery you will wear in your life, none will be as important and life changing as that of your wedding rings. So choosing the right one is no small laughing matter! I'm telling you, many relationships have been put to the test upon the presentation of the engagement ring. Men worldwide are held under some serious microscopic scrutiny, the day he ask's his partner the 'big question' somehow the depth of his love is measured by the carat, cut and clarity of the diamond ring! But what if you want something different? and feel the ole tried and tested Ernest Jones,Tiffany's, Harry Winston and the likes aren't the jewellers for you? I mean not every couple out there, feels a simple platinum band topped with a twinkling diamond truly represents them and the love they share!
Well maybe you should consider having a bespoke and completely one of a kind ring designed and created just for you! surely no one knows you or your partner better than you do right?! Well this is where 'Jeweller Extraordinaires' would step in and what do you know just like Blue Peter "Here's one I made earlier!" lol I stumbled upon these this Jeweller - like almost everything else nowadays - via the web!
Introducing Los Angeles based Designer Gnel Karapetyan of Artmasters. Gnel has a Bachelor degree in both Arts and Science and is also a Master Level CAD Custom Jewellery Designer. Gnel has two jewellery retail shops on the Etsy website (A site which I raved about in a post last year): ArtMasters and NaturesNouveau. His works are presented in some of world's most prestigious jewellery catalogs under companies such JBDM, Luxury by JB, Tacori, Solomon Brothers, Alegra and more!
When I asked Gnel what he loves most about creating and designing his bespoke rings he explained that:
"The thing I love most in crafting artistic bridal jewellery is an object and form: a marriage of stones, color and metal reviving them through various design style mixes, in the most elegant manner knowing it must signify implicit beauty, unconditional love, true devotion and lifetime commitment for the couple considering my work."
I of course had to find out what was the most unique design request he had from a client?! Gnel went on to say:
"The most unique bridal ring design request I have had was from client named Edward who requested to customize my existing work making it more luxurious and reviving on the top view under Modern and Vintage design style elements. When I make something beautiful and complete, it is pretty complex to revisit it from alternative perspective and make it appeal to them and even exceed their expectations of the original idea making them proud of the original idea of design"
What first drew me to Gnel's jewellery was the use of coloured stones and the intricate detailing; these rings will definitely stand out amongst the favoured plain wedding bands out there and I must admit I am in COMPLETE love with the black gold ring designs, who knew you could even get black gold!!...well maybe you might have, but I didn't and I just love them:
