On-Site Ceremonies Are Best With A Wedding DJ

As the 2013 wedding season is starting to book up quickly for us, we are seeing a lot more couples choose our Premier wedding DJ package, that includes ceremony services. Many brides and grooms are choosing a wedding DJ over instrumentalists to perform at their on site wedding ceremony for a few reasons.

First, a wedding DJ is more budget friendly.  The cost to hire a wedding DJ for your ceremony at Avid Entertainment is only $100 if included in your 5 hour event, or $150 if you need an extra half an hour for your ceremony.  The rate for an instrumentalist ranges from $200 - $400+ for each musician.

Second, a wedding DJ can play ANY song you could possibly want at your wedding.  We can play instrumental songs such as "Pachelbel's Cannon in D" or "Trumpet Voluntary" for the more traditional couples.  Or we can play any song that you hear on the radio today.  We actually had a couple choose a Pantera song for their recessional piece.  One of my favorites is "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" by Stevie Wonder.

Third, a wedding DJ will have a wireless or lapel microphone for your officiant.  Have you ever been to a wedding where you can't hear anything that is being said?  It's difficult to take in the moment as a guest when you can't hear the officiant, bride or groom during this special moment.

Last, a wedding DJ has a lot more volume control than say a flutist.  If your wedding ceremony is at the edge of the ocean, it's going to be very difficult to hear a flute over the waves crashing and wind blowing.  A wedding DJ can just turn the volume up to the perfect level.

I hope this article helps with your ceremony planning!

All the best,

Jamie
