Perfect Wedding Planning Software that's Not for Planners

Wacky title, I know. But that’s what kept going through my head as I was watching the demo for Coaches Console, an online dashboard. Well, it actually seems better than that. I’d call it an online ‘wife’. You know, someone who looks out that you get things done and done on time! (no offense, guys, but you know what I mean)

Occasionally I’ll come across a post on one of the forums asking about the best wedding planner software. I guessed there would be many. Au contraire mon frere! There aren’t many different brands on the market, according to the forums, and what’s out there isn’t completely getting the job done. Again, no offense- just saying.

Incidentally, this topic caught my eye because I’m looking for a ‘ super intuitive, everything-in-one-spot, reliable’ system to use for Positively Wed. Something that lets me really connect with my Brideability Summit listener by staying in touch easily. But also organizes the heck out of me. I can’t easily define what I want here. It’s kinda like the definition of obscenity- I’ll know it when I see it…the system, silly, not obscenity.

Then, I discovered Coaches Console. You gotta read the benefits page. It has got to be one of the most intuitive yet precise pieces of practice management software I’ve ever seen. Really. Amazing. Well, almost. After all, it is designed for coaches and you’re a wedding professional. But the possibilities….oh, my!

I’m a big believer in recycling business models and ideas. This software looks like it would be invaluable to anyone who had a client base[ read: wedding planner, photographer, stylist, etc] and needed to manage a lot of logistical details, background information, shared communications, meeting schedules and calendars. Come on, is that not perfect for you!

Like, seriously, there should be a wedding professionals version of this. ( Shout out to Melinda Burger, President and Co-Founder- Let’s put our heads together on this soon!)

You should hop right over and take the virtual tour. Make sure you have a few minutes because Melinda is very thorough in discussing the features. Really that’s what hooked me. Even I couldn’t screw this software up, and if I did they have a team of VA’s to help. Then again, I haven’t tried the software yet. I’ll probably do the trial, but if someone wanted to gift me a year as a holiday gift???

Now, for the record I don’t own stock and Melinda Burger is not my sister-in-law. I just really liked this solution for a small business owner’s biggest problem- managing her time. It’s very Brideability.

What software helps you stay in touch with your clients?

UPDATE!! Guess what? Melinda, president of Coaches Console, called me this morning. What a dynamic gal! You know, she and her partner started as coaches and the idea for the console grew out of their own needs. That’s why it’s so intuitive and comprehensive. They made what they wanted! Anyway, Melinda’s launching exactly what I asked for- a version for wedding planners- almost. Next year, there will be a version for any service professional! Yipee! Watch this blog for more details.

Melinda was generous enough to gift me a copy of the software to play with. (see, the universe does answer when you ask:) ) So, I’ll be sharing my experiences and feedback with you all. This is gonna be fun!
