Good Afternoon readers and how are you? good? ok, so lets get straight to it!

There are some 'Wedding Purists' out there that say no wedding is complete or right without the brides beautiful FLORAL bouquet, now this is not to say that they're wrong, but neither are they completely right! I mean I'm a massive fan of a beautiful floral arrangement, as much as the next person; a lovely bouquet can really set the tone for a wedding. You really cannot replace the scent and sight of a bride walking down the aisle holding a posy of gorgeous flowers and nowadays you can really go to town on what flowers you can have; the selection and choice available to brides is simple endless - the words 'out of season' are no longer uttered since the age of internet. I mean come on, you'd have to be a serious ice queen, not to see a bouquet such as these and not feel a smidgen of a twinge in your heart!

So I've said my piece for the flower rangers out there! lol now what about you not so traditional brides? those that think floral bouquets are nice, but they aren't quite what you want for you and your big day. Most brides organise their wedding with the thought that they only plan to do this the once (though I'm clearly not talking about those 'Serial Brides' out there...ahem... if you catch my drift - but I judge not! lol) so this is where the whole 'everything has to be perfect' notion comes in; we all have visions of  how our big day will look and for some, that just don't include walking down the aisle carrying a bouquet of flowers! So whats the solution for these non traditionalist brides?! well this year I discovered Brooch and Button Bouquets....ooh I can really feel you listening now! lol what is a Brooch or Button Bouquet I hear you say?!, well its as simple as it sounds: it's literally a bouquet made up of either Brooches or Buttons and sometimes both! The first time I stumbled across these ingenious creations  I fell in love, I love a bit of sparkle and  but even more than that, I love to see innovative ideas turned into something beautiful!

Todays post introduces two lovely ladies, who do just that! use innovation to create unique and one-of-a-kind bouquets for all those modern brides out there, who want to make a dazzling entrance  as they walk up the aisles to their husbands-to-be and believe me some of these bouquets will dazzle your socks off!

First up is Lesa Simmons, the owner of  'i heart buttons'  and creator of some seriously button-tastic Bouquets. I have followed Lesa on Twitter for a while now and I simple adore her Button bouquets. I love the fact that each bouquet is always so colourful and different, and each one has a personality of its own; Lesa's says: "I love creating button bouquets as there is so much that can be done with them. The only limits are your imagination. From the start to the finish, every stage is a pleasure and seeing the lovely comments and photos from my brides, makes it even more enjoyable". I really never thought of buttons as being beautiful, but look at these bouquets and you can't help but think...BEAUTIFUL! lol

Next is Nicola Garrett, who is the vision and designer behind 'Nicola Garrett Brooch Bouquets'  all of which are just simply stunning. Google happened to be the shepherd that guided me over to this lovely lady's site. Believe me when I say, that from the first photo on the homepage, you're just gripped by the fabulousness of these bouquets and how glamourous they are! as a bride you couldn't help but walk with a extra swing in your sway, as you sashay up the aisle carrying one of these gems. What Nicola loves the most about her Bouquets is: "Finding the perfect pieces, cleaning them up, mending them and giving them a new lease of life. All of those long forgotten items brought back to their former glory to be cherished for so many years to come!" These bouquets just exude and ooz glamour of the vintage kind and what gal wouldn't love that! I mean have a peak for yourself:
