Ways to Be Unique When You Say “I Do”

Tired of the same-old, same-old when it comes to weddings? Now that you’re planning your own wedding, you get to call the shots! Why not do something crazy? It’s your day, so make it unique to you and your fiancé. Here are some ideas of crazy weddings.

  • Under water wedding- If you and your fiancé like to scuba dive, do your ceremony in a lake or ocean! Invite your guests, bridal party, and officiant, and you will emerge from the water married!
  • Hot-air balloon- Imagine getting married in the sky. The amazing views will definitely add romance and adventure to your nuptials. The only down side to this idea is that you will have limited space so not very many people will be able to come.
  • On a boat- Cruise ships host weddings a lot, but if that’s not personal enough for you, do it on a small, beautiful sail boat.
  • In a Stadium- If you are an avid fan of a baseball, football, soccer, or basketball team, do it in their stadium! This might be more expensive, but if it fits your relationship, go for it. Another idea is to get married on a golf course if you both love to golf.
  • In a jungle- If you love to hike, travel, and explore, this option might be perfect for you. If you don’t live near a jungle, this would be a fun twist on a destination wedding.
  • On a climb- Rock climbers can get married on an actual climb! Half way up, they can pause and literally “hang out” while their officiant marries them!
  • Top of a Mountain- This is perfect for hikers or skiers. Pick your favorite mountain top and get married completely in your element. If you are a skier, you can ride the lift up, get married, and ski down!
  • In a Lighthouse- Lighthouses can be symbolic and romantic. If you are dreaming of a small, intimate ceremony, a lighthouse may be your best bet.
  • Redmond Tree- If you live in California, getting married in a hollowed out Redmond tree would show off your roots (literally). If that’s not possible, you can always get married in front of one.
  • In an Igloo- If you want a winter wedding, why not make a huge igloo in the snow for it? There are examples of people doing this in other countries and in really cold climates. Just keep your vows short so you don’t freeze!
  • On Halloween- Like the idea of having everyone dress up for your wedding? If you both love costumes and Halloween, you could do your wedding on Halloween and have everyone come in their costumes!
  • On the Hunt- Make all the dresses and suits camouflage and do your wedding in the woods if you love to hunt! Take pictures posing with your guns, trucks, and hiding in the bushes!
  • Skydiving- Yes folks, it has been done. Surprisingly enough, you can get married while flying through the air toward the ground. It’s a quick ceremony and you can expect more cold feet than usual!
