Okay...you are not a wine expert. But whether you know it or not, knowing your menu will make it easy to choose a wine. Really!

The most important thing to remember about wine for your wedding is simply this: GET THE WINE THAT YOU LIKE.Yes, there ARE pairings that are better than others, but this day is about YOU, not the guest, not the phootgrapher, not your mother....IT IS ABOUT YOU. On this day, for heavens sakes, choose things that YOU love!

Now of course, there are the tried and true maxims concerning wines. Red wines with red meat dishes, steak, red sauce and tomato dishes. Can't go wrong with this maxim. But what KIND of red wine? Here's a little cheat sheet that I think will help. True, I'm a winemaker, and I have a dog in the fight, BUT, even if you don't use my wines, I want your wedding to rock! (don't forget, if you go to my website, you can design your custom label, pick your wine, choose a shrink cap to match the bridesmaid dresses and have it shipped to your door! www.customwineonline.com)
