When did you fall in love with him/her?

I was sitting here, sending off templates to my sister in law who is getting married this coming August, and I got to thinking...in the process of planning our weddings, often times, we get so wrapped up in the details and the complexities of the elaborate event we're preparing, and forget why we chose to say yes in the first place.

In keeping with my previous article, our husbands and our husband's to be, still need to be acknowledged as much as we do. And I wondered if I had to come up with a single moment while my husband and I were dating, when I knew that I had fallen in love with him, what would that be?

In truth, it took me a while (about a month or so) to decide that yes, I did indeed want to be with him...for a really long time. And I honestly couldn't come up with a single moment...but I could come up with a series of moments that sort of combined to give me a good enough picture of the qualities in him that I really did love. And like my last post indicated, this is something we both work on every day.

The series of moments are things like, our first kiss (on our second date actually), and our first make out session...the first time he walked me to my car and I accidentally blurted out that "Love you" (it was our third date, and it was a natural reaction - in fact, my whole family says this to one another when we part), and instead of going into convulsions, running in the other direction, or panicing in some other awkward way, he simply said "Love you too" and let me get into the car. Small note to others, after this we didn't say the words again for nearly a month - I forced him to tell me (even though I knew he really did) the next time.

And finally, I guess that last moment was when I knew this was going to be it. Any other man would have run so fast in the opposite direction - changed his phone number, and maybe would have even moved...but not my guy. I'm guessing that he was already pretty sure of it long before I was.

Now - I want to hear others stories. When did you know for sure that you had fallen in love with your husband or your husband to be?
