When it comes to seating at your ceremony and reception, plan for at least 4-5 unexpected guests who did not RSVP to attend your wedding. Unexpected guest can come in many forms; such as, people bringing their children without noting it, someone bringing a last minute date, the RSVP getting lost in the mail, or someone who truly just didn't bother to RSVP. Rather than deal with unexpected chaos, have one extra table planned in advance at your reception. Now you have seating that those unexpected guests can sit at.
