Hello Wedding Professionals,

I need your help!  I'm preparing a blog post that will be published next month, which will be called: 2017 Wedding Predictions.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on what those predictions and trends will be.  I'll pick the 10 best predictions, and I'll feature 10 wedding businesses!

If I choose your prediction, I'll be sure to mention your business name and link to your website.  So, this is a great way for you to get a ton of free exposure for your business.

Here's what I need you to do...

  1. In the discussion thread below, please share one prediction for 2017 weddings along with one beautiful photo.  Share your predictions about things like color trends, fashion, decor, music, etiquette, etc.
  2. Be sure to include your business name as well as a link to your website and/or blog.

Here's an example...

2017 Weddings Will Experience Dramatic Opulence.  Lush, romantic linens and floral arrangements set the tone for an opulent affair. When designing, you want to add that

"drama" piece - whether it be in your intricate table linens, a gleaming candelabra, bride and groom chairs, or hey, even a wall of flowers! Also, keep the look consistent. Keep centerpieces of the same height, one style of chairs, and lush tablescapes. There is a wonderful tone of softness in these looks.  In the picture to the left we see a dramatic, visually stimulating table. But look closer - doesn't the decor convey romance and a certain sense of whimsical? The "Dramatic Opulence
wedding trend is all about creating an experience within the event.

And here's a look at last year's 2016 wedding trends predictions.

Thanks in advance for your help.  I can't wait to see what you think will happen to weddings in the New Year!

Mother nature takes over in 2017.  Small plants and succulents are used for name cards, favors, and table runners.

Simple.  Elegant, Romantic, but keep it Simple.    Right now I am booking brides for the ceremonies that I play.

Some of the brides are not having any attendants at all.   Others are only having one attendant on each side:  a maid of honor, and a best man.

Unless the economy improves, I expect this to continue.   I am being very honest when I say that brides are cutting back on their weddings.   I also think that not only the cost of a big wedding is a consideration, but intimacy.  They are wanting a more intimate ceremony.   This means smaller in size, and more simplicity.

Bridal chokers are going to be a big hit in 2017, from the simple design to the extravagant.  They are flying off my virtual shelves already!  http://www.crystalpearl.etsy.com

2017 Wedding Couples are opting for 'non-traditional' honeymoon destinations

2017 wedding couples are interested in alternative destinations for their honeymoon; and the number one destination for 2017 is Thailand.

Thailand appeals to today's honeymoon couples because of the vast history, gorgeous beaches, and a culture you cannot experience anywhere else in the world.

The team for the global leading wedding travel site Honeymoons.com has noticed a big trend in what is referred to as "Glamping Moons ". According to the Honeymoons.com team, six of the top ten resorts researched by the nearly one million couples who annually visit the site are located in high mountain resort areas in the US. For example, the luxurious Gateway Canyons Resort in Colorado and The Resort at Paws Up in Montana are two of the most popular honeymoon destinations under consideration for the site's $3 Billion honeymoon-spending audience. Keeping with the 2015 trend of rustic wedding trends, many of these mountain resorts offer destination wedding packages. With starlit skies and untouched wilderness, these mountain-range resorts provide panoramic, awe-inspiring backdrops for a one-of-a-kind weddings. Whether envisioning a traditional black-tie affair, a romantic elopement or a casual cowboy hitching, these resorts provide the perfect venues for weddings of any style. I think that one trend in 2017 will be signature craft cocktails–a drink that captures the spirit of the couple, and is specially created for guests to enjoy at the wedding celebration.

In 2017, we'll see a lot of elegant and romantic themes using Vintage items. We've listened to the call from clients for more Vintage inspired cake toppers and created a new line of Brooch covered Monogram Cake Toppers that are adorned with stunning rhinestone brooches, pearl beads, Swarovski crystals, and even actual Vintage embellishments! Our most popular choice has been in silver and off white, but we have also made several in Gold themes and even some custom colors.  The wedding cake is the centerpiece of every wedding, and topping it with an unforgettable cake topper continues to be a wonderful trend in 2017.

On the basis of my experience from the contracts I concluded yet with clients for 2017 up to this moment, it seems, destination weddings to Central-European countries are rocking in 2017. June seems to be the most popular wedding month next year, and couples are more than happy to pick a Friday or even other weekdays as their wedding date. Saturday is not anymore the only wedding day. Venue-wise they are in fond of with resorts, where they and their wedding guests can spend 2-3 days together as a mini-holiday and of course they can make a wonderful and spectacular wedding too. They are happy with symbolic ceremonies, they not insist on official marriage, what they rather make in their home-countries without the necessity to fight with the bureaucracy of a foreign country. Local wedding planners are more and more popular, and the couples now understand well, that a local help is worth the money instead of trying to organise everything from a large distance.
