Wedding Song Writer's Weight Journey

I haven't post in a few weeks because I'm so upset at myself for not being able to control my weight and eat right.  Again today is a new day and I either have to lose ten pounds or buy new clothes.  I went to a Memorial Day picnic and no shorts or capri's fit me but one pair and they were tight.  A lot of bad words came out of my mouth and I was so mad at myself.  I weighed myself on Friday and I'm up to 130 lbs.  The highest I've been in a few years.  I know how to eat and what to eat.  I…

Colour Inspriation - Red & Aqua

I love a splash of colour.  By combining two key colours you can create the perfect combination that makes a statement worhty of any celebration.  Being bold with colour is not necessarily scary but stick to two colours then if required add a neutral tone.  There are some great colour clashes being chosen this summer and today I have put together an inspiration board boldly combining red and aqua.…

Redlands Wedding pics coming next week!

I am so excited to post photos of a beautiful couple that got married in a spectacular backyard in Redlands! The downtown area was amazing to shoot in; I especially loved the old shut down train station.  Stay tuned!!

Children At Weddings

Yesterday I posed the question of children being invited to weddings on Twitter after reading a post on Celebrations At Home about this very topic. Many people welcomed children at weddings, whilst there were stories of vicars suggesting the couples own child should not attend the ceremony and that guests were asked not to bring their children.  As a mother I…

Renting a Party Tent: Will Your Location Make the Grade?

Whether it's your backyard, an open field or a designated event site there are some considerations to keep in mind if you're planning to set up a party tent.

Go High and Dry

The idea spot for a tent is on high, level ground. But that's not always available. You should, however, plan for the possibility of rain, especially in New Hampshire. Therefore, you should pick a location where rain will not collect. Check the site location after a rainstorm to…

Finding the Perfect Bridesmaid Gifts

Finding the perfect gift for your bridesmaids isn't exactly the easiest thing to do.  What made it hardest for me was that I tried to get all of my bridesmaids different gifts that I thought that they would each like (because no 2 people like the same exact thing).  You could either do what I did, or you could just get everybody the same gift in case you are afraid that buying everybody something different could cause a situation of jealousy.

Another problem that I had with buying my…

Choosing Your Wedding Cake

From Draper's Catering Blog

Choosing your wedding cake is an important part of planning your wedding reception. The emotional attachment of a bride-to-be to her wedding cake is second only to that of her attachment to her wedding dress. Both have a lot in common and involve alot of deep feelings. Both can cost quite a bit, as well, so it is wise to take time to make sure…
