How to Select Professional Hair Shears

A brand new, perfect hairdo always makes a person feel different, happy and it also becomes an invigorating factor. Also, a neat hair style is noticed and complimented by friends and relatives. However, if the hair shears cut the hair sloppily, the result can be disastrous, and the person may become the laughingstock. A bad hairdo can hit a person’s self-confidence level. The well-known professional hairstylists clearly understand that more than the ambience of the hair salons, it’s the tools… Continue

Erika and Brent

We had such a blast shooting Erika and Brent's wedding. We love them- too bad they live in Iowa or we would always be hanging out!!!! Their reception at William Penn Inn was beautiful. Erika had found all these cool butterflies so she had them placed on the cake and in various places throughput the reception. the only real bummer of the day was the HEAT!! im talkin like 98 degrees. And we had that cool park to take pictures in- seemed like a great idea when we all found it 2 months earlier with… Continue

Garter Toss! And other awesome Stuff!

So being a wedding photographer, I obviously get to see the many wedding "traditions" that we have known to come to love, and sometimes hate. From the first dance, bouquet toss, garter belt, and the cutting of the cake, I personally love each moment of a wedding. Understandably, not every bride caters to tradition. Some are a bit more formal than others, while some ditch some of the traditions all together. One tradition that seems to stir up a lot of controversy is the garter belt retrieval… Continue

Interview with Dr. Colon of The Peer Group on What'sHaute.com

After my wonderful skincare appointment with Judie at the Peer Group Center for Plastic Surgery, I met with Dr. Francisco Colon for a question and answer session. I felt so lucky to be able to ask all my burning skin care questions one-on-one to a top plastic surgeon.

To start, I asked Dr. Colon to explain the differences between medical facials, as offered at his center, and spa facials. Basically, his reply was that medical facials are results-based, scientific, and the basis for… Continue

Reuse: Board Game Pieces

Add a touch of your personal style to your party by reusing commonly found items as one-of-a-kind party décor. Here, board game pieces are adhered to otherwise simple place card holders (in addition to an assortment of other reused trinkets, such as wine corks). While decidedly quirky, the final look is chic enough for a formal affair.

"August and Everything After": Choosing a Wedding Theme

Now that it’s August and we suddenly find ourselves bombarded with countless television back-to-school ads, my autumn-themed wedding of nearly eight years ago seems to be fresh in my memory again. There was a reason my fiance and I chose the fall for our event… in our combined opinion, there is no season more romantic than autumn. The crisp, dry New England days evoke memories of hayrides and apple-picking, and the chilly nights are perfect for cuddling under a quilt or by the fire with a…

Rustic Mint Chandelier

Just because the long days of summer are slowly winding down doesn’t mean it is time to abandon the many natural décor “supplies” still available in your own backyard. Create

a rustic atmosphere by crafting a hanging chandelier made from small

pots of mint or other fragrant herbs. Use clippings of the herbs as

fresh garnishes for cocktails and entrées throughout the party.
