Is it necessary to have a consultation with my Wedding Day Hair Stylist?

I believe it is absolutely necessary to have a consultation/trial with your wedding day hair stylist.

Whether you have met your bridal hair stylist or not, your going to want to see if they can do what you want to have done. I have worked in this industry for more than 13 years and I have met very few stylists who are confident in their skill, as far as wedding day styles. A lot of times a salon stylist doesn't even want to have anything to do with special styles.

Choosing a wedding… Continue

This bride won't stop spending money!!!

The Question was raised are brides still spending money?

Clients are still spending, but if they put out a dollar they want the absolute best for their money. I try to educate them on how I can help them save money throughout their wedding. Like if they want the best photographer and he charges by hour, I show her how to plan all of the formalities so the photographer get the best shots out of the way quick so he can go and there is a few hundred dollars saved. Now they can spend on… Continue

Three Words: Location! Location! Location!

Shortly after we were engaged, Chris and I started our wedding planning by beginning our search for a wedding location. We had a few criteria that we were working with. First, we wanted to a place that was easily accessible for all of our guests, whether by car or by plane. We also decided that we wanted to have our ceremony and reception at the same location to avoid added transportation costs as well as any hassles that would come from getting our guests from place to… Continue

Use of Tissue in Invitations

Q&A: What is the purpose of the tissue in invitations, do I really need it in my invitation?

Years ago, when formal invitations were written with quill and ink (and then when the printing press was invented), a piece of thin paper similar to modern tissue paper was placed on top of the invitation to prevent ink smudging. This practice continued well after new printing processes were invented and there was actually no need for the tissue. Currently, you may still see some formal… Continue

are weddings too expensive?

taken from www.wedbykez.com

wedbykez rich bride Weddings are expensive, any couple knows that regardless of what decade they got married. If you compare the average wedding in 2004 was $28,700 to the what no seems outrageous $50,000 in 2009 you can see what a healthy industry weddings are.

But mine, is not to question whether $50,000 is an astronomical amount. If we, as a society, are guilty of promoting the "wedding" over the… Continue

Wedding Toast-Keep it Simple

The person who will give the wedding toast is usually selected before the reception and agreed upon by the bride and groom. Impromptu toasts can be hilarious but are not always in good taste and can even bring a blush to the couples face. If you are the person chosen to give the official toast, handling the situation with dignity is always the best approach.

To avoid mishaps or embarrassment to yourself and the couple, it is a good idea to take a couple of minutes to handwrite your… Continue
