Ask for a discount. Ask every single vendor. You won’t always get a price cut, but sometimes you will – and it was as easy as saying “How can I get a discount?” (Remember to ask open-ended questions so as not to make it easy for the vendor to just say “No” and close the discussion.)

One of the things I find amusing about the wedding business in Central Florida is that the fairy-tale June wedding doesn’t exist here. For most of Florida the biggest wedding months are from September to May, with October being really busy and then February through April being super hectic as well.
