Orange County Event Lighting

Specialized lighting is getting more and more popular for events in Orange County, CA. Uplights, gobos and pin spots are a regular request for both weddings and private parties alike. Party hosts want their special event to look unique with added color and highlights.

Colored uplights on the venue walls create a dramatic effect, while pin spots can be used to highlight small areas such as cake tables or a sweetheart table. Custom gobos can be used to project personal names or…

Will you be my...?

Let’s face it, who doesn’t love a sappy story? A story that pulls at your heartstrings and makes you saw “aww.” There is always an over abundance of questions about how he proposed, what was it like, what did he say, and the list goes on. But this happy story overshadows another important question full of it’s own “aww” moments! What about those girls who have stuck by you through all the highs and lows?  The same girls who will be throwing your shower and lending a…

Vow Renewals: Re-dedicating Original Wedding Rings

It's been a blessedly busy summer of vow renewal ceremonies: milestone anniversaries and couples who are re-dedicating themselves to their relationship after difficult times.  What I find especially touching is that couples who renew their vows do so out of an enduring love based on the experience of their shared joys and hardships; a love that honors what has been while looking forward to what yet may be.

In addition to re-affirming their promises, I always suggest to my clients who… Continue

Wedding Song Writer's Weight Journey

When I was first married 36 years ago I was 18 yrs old and I had no worries about my weight.  I’m 5’2” and weighed about 110-115.  Today I’m 54 and my weight is 124 lbs, not too bad. I want to get down to 120 lbs.   I don’t remember girls or guys trying to lose so much weight 30+ years ago for their weddings.  I believe it’s because brides and grooms are older now and weight is an issue with some.  None of my girlfriends worried about their weight like girls do today and I’m no different. …

Candlesticks aren't just for candles anymore . . .

I am sure you can picture candlesticks on a mantel glowing with tall tapered candles illuminating the room with a warm romantic glow. But forget about the "typical" uses for candlesticks if just for a moment, and let your imagination…
