A bridesmaid takes on similar tasks like the matron of honor, but fewer planning responsibilities such as, attend…

Every bride promises her bridesmaids that she will pick a dress that is affordable, can be worn on multiple occasions and looks great on every body type. Sadly, very few brides deliver. A beautiful exception...Alyssa Milano!
Alyssa chose twobirds Bridesmaid’s aubergine convertible gown and let her bridesmaids pick how they wanted to wear the dress. Whether twisted around the neck, spaghetti-strapped or wrapped as a halter-top, each of Alyssa’s bridesmaids created their own unique…

Apparently there is a folklore declaring rain on your wedding day as a good luck sign for a happy marriage.
I tend to think this could have been a saying invented by brides who want to feel better about the fact that it rained on their wedding day but in our case, it resulted in a ceremony beyond our dreams and expectations.
The morning of Saturday October 3rd…

Through the years, I have seen instances of couples using friends or family members to take photographs, shoot video, DJ, arrange flowers, bake the cake/cupcakes, and plan/execute the wedding day. In all cases, the couple had unrealistic expectations of what the free, or reduced cost, help would get them. The work of family and…

How many times have brides over the years gone into the bridal salon and felt pressured by the clerk to buy a certain dress. Watching my fave show, say yes to the dress, well i am sad to say, has that mentality...Love you Randy even though it seems true.

For my children's Bar and Bat Mitzvah, I printed large clear labels (2" x 4") with all of the guests names and addresses on them. When they wrote their thank you notes they simply placed the coordinating labels on the envelope and it was addressed beautifully in a script font that was legible too. It also was a good guide to be sure that you didn't forget anybody as their label would be left. My children are wonderful and write the notes but addressing the envelopes were like pulling teeth -…

Since choosing a photographer is not an everyday event (nor is your wedding) i will try to answer the most frequently asked questions about wedding photography.
1. Why should I hire a professional Wedding photographer?
A professional will be timely - arriving at your wedding promptly, and get you the results you need on time. A professional has just the right equipment, its easy to buy a truck full of equipment but without the craftsmanship it will stay just…

I am talking to more and more brides and my colleagues and am finding out that the latest trend is the DIY Bride. Since the economic downturn, many brides are downscaling their wedding dreams by either cutting certain services, cutting down on the guest list or just doing everything themselves.
My hat goes off to the DIY Bride. I applaud their efforts in creating their dream wedding and at the same time saving money. However, there is one thing that is a troubling trend that no one talks…

There is a difference between planners and coordinators, although most who claim to be either one are actually both. To start with, coordinators do just that, coordinate!
She* may be there just for the day of your event, although you should meet with her a few times before the big day so that she understands your vision and has all the information she needs.
Planners can be involved from the beginning or jump in whenever you need them. They are more involved in the… Continue
