Tropical Flowers: handling and caring

I have been asked continously about how to handle and prepare tropical flowers before arranging. The BIGGEST AND WORST mistake made by many florists is they tend to place the tropical flowers in the cooler. BIG NO-NO!! Tropical flowers such as: bird of paradise, varieties of gingers, heliconias, anthuriums are NEVER to be placed in the florist coolers. All you need to do is prepare the bucket with the water and food, cut the stems as you would any flower and place in the bucket. Leave them at… Continue

Will your wedding cost your friends?

Taken from wedbykez.com

The bride was obviously wanting a particular dress that cost $495 dollars US ($586.70 AUD). Now I don’t know about most people but $500 + on a dress is not something I would normally consider unless a) The Dress made me look like Angelina Jolie or b) it was the most important day… Continue

Why and when to stretch

As every trainer should, I incorporate flexibility training into every workout. However, I must say that many of my clients simply hate it. Although they all agree that it is important, they are quite happy to skip it and have a rough time doing it on their own. I thought I’d share some of the reasons stretching play an important role in helping you work towards your fitness goals.

Choosing Your Wedding Band

I am often asked by potential clients why there is such a huge difference in the quality of a band when the prices are sometimes very similar? My answer is simple. Some band leaders want the job so badly they are willing to tell the client anything they want to hear to get the contract. Some "high priced" bands may not be able to deliver the goods due to the size of the band (too small), the professionalism of the presentation (no tuxedo, questionable gear). Sometimes the sound of the band may… Continue

Love, Friendship, Trust

Love is such a simple thing when its right when you can wake up in the morning and know that you are loved by another human being. Not just loved but well frankly liked and wanted and needed. Sometimes we as humans mistake love to be all that we need but as we go through life we find that not only is that important but having a wonderful friend in life one that we can share our ups and downs with, our most wonderful dreams and perhaps as time goes on even the dreadful secrets we keep. And you… Continue
