How to Find the RIght Wedding Photographer by K & S Photography | Dallas Wedding Photographers

Today for brides, I wanted to talk about choosing a wedding photographer and some basic tips for you when you are searching.  First and Foremost, think about you, your personality and the style you want for your wedding and be honest with yourself.  A good way to gage your style is to look around your room/house/apartment.  How have you decorated?  Are you modern, French-inspired, shabby chic, traditional, romantic, country, etc?  This will give you a good basis to start.  I say this because…

Bold and Exotic Wedding Invitations By Emily Post

Exclusively from M. Middleton,  we welcome the Emily Post Wedding Style Collection to our store around the 15th of July. This album features wedding invitations that have exotic typefaces, cut outs, folds, and bows.  Also, the creative wording and artwork makes Emily Post passionate about graciousness, generosity of spirit, and also being true to ones sense of style.  She was called "a rule maker, and a rule breaker." Did you know that Emily Post first shared her philosophy in 1922.  We are…

Wedding Song Writer's Weight Journey

Things are not good, not good at all.  Weight was up agian this week to 129.  Then party Friday, Saturday and Sunday for father's day.  Too much good food to pass up.  Today I feel horrible.  My stomach feels horrible and I don't feel like working out.  Mondays are always bad for working out due to extra calories in food and drinks.  I feel sluggish and just don't want to do anything but lay around.  I'm having a problem with my hips and knees cuz of the extra weight.  I know it's only 10…

{diy Projects} Lollipop Flowers

I spotted this project on Kitschy-Koo (isn't that cute!). The project was originally a valentine project but I can see doing more with it. Like getting some floral foam and sticking the lollipop sticks into the foam making it a great centerpiece. Or maybe you want it to be more whimsical, just arrange them in a glass fish bowl with some…

Wedding Invitation Samples

Ordering your wedding invitations online is very convenient and a huge time-saver but you still may want to physically see certain designs or papers. That’s where ordering wedding invitation samples is highly recommended.

Keep in mind that any sample wedding invitation you order will most likely be blank but will still provide a first-hand look…

Think about the final product, and not just a piece of plastic

I frequently get asked by potential wedding clients, “Do I get a cd/dvd of the images from the wedding?” The answer of course is yes. Unfortunately it saddens me to think that more often than not, once the final cd is delivered to the customer, that it will have a short-lived run to the Big Box store for a few prints for the family and that will be about it. The media will sit in the office desk or dresser drawer for the most part unused, or the pictures will be on the customer’s hard drive…

The Perfect Face #1

On your wedding day your makeup makes all the difference on how your whole look comes together and your photo. Smashbox makes an amazing photo finish primer that will set your makeup for more than 6 hours. Its important to make sure you're using the right primer cause some primers have shimmers which isn't good for photographs, some primers don't last you but for a couple of hours and some primers clump. Photo finish primers…

Friday Quickies: "Rain, Rain, Go Away..."

It’s that time of year when the sun is shining, the weather is perfect, and brides want to celebrate their nuptials outdoors. Whether you are planning a garden wedding or a reception under the stars, if you are considering having any part of your wedding celebration outdoors you need to have a back up plan. This bride goes after my boho little heart. I love her style. Simplistic and feminine, bohemian yet chic and stylish. The beautiful colored flowers in varying jars are, well, just beautiful. And as you know by my multiple S'mores posts on this blog, you just can't go wrong with the S'mores favors. What's your favorite part of this wedding?…
